Kids will get hands on experiences and learn cause and effect and the scientific method as they explore STEM activities. This featured activity is on beavers. Children will collect twigs from outdoors. They will use the twigs, mud, and grass to try and create a beaver dam. Then they will test their creations with water. Did the water flow thru? Do we need to reconsider our design? What could we substitute for mud? Clay? Glue? By asking questions, referring to books, and pictures children will learn important scientific principles.
